about 350 Silicon Valley
we are stronger together.
350 Silicon Valley is a volunteer-led nonprofit dedicated to fighting for climate justice. We work under the umbrella of 350 Bay Area, 501(c)(3). We mobilize residents of Santa Clara and San Mateo counties for a speedy and just transition away from fossil fuels to 100% renewable energy.

We formed in 2013, in informal affiliation with the international organization 350.org. We collaborate with many partners on divestment and reducing the carbon footprint of municipalities to achieve a clean energy future with racial, economic, and environmental justice.

Our vision is a vibrant world where climate justice prevails

The vocal advocacy efforts of our San Mateo team were instrumental in the passing of the most robust Reach Code in California to accelerate the decarbonization of buildings.
-
Our Palo Alto team is leading the charge to establish a gas sunset date in the city. and is going door-to-door to promote Palo Alto's turnkey Heat Pump Water Heater Program
-
We played a key role in co-sponsoring the highly impactful webinar series, Code Red for Humanity, which was presented to Bay Area elected officials and the public to drive local climate action.
-
Thanks to a grant from Peninsula Clean Energy, we are proactively raising awareness and educating communities throughout San Mateo County about the importance of local climate action through a series of outreach and education events.

Our Achievements
any action and any amount can make a world of difference.
It's easy to confuse us with 350.org. 350.org periodically sends out communications to all local supporters. Please note that, while we are aligned with their overall mission to end fossil fuels, their policy positions and endorsements are often independent of ours.
